A few weeks ago, Jasmin Selberg was crowned Miss International at the third-largest beauty pageant in the world. In an interview, she told us about her big day, the makeover at Salon Dortmund and what part her Hairdreams mane played in her win…
Jasmin's way led to Hairdreams
Hairdreams: How did you come across Hairdreams?
Jasmin: “I came across Hairdreams through a good friend from the Netherlands. She recommended your extensions to me after I told her I was looking for quality hair extensions.”
Hairdreams: How was your experience in the salon when you got the extensions?
Jasmin (says with a smile): From my very first conversation with the salon, I felt that I was in excellent hands. I was amazed at how quickly we found a hair colour and length that suited me! After that everything happened super fast; blink once and the extensions were already in place and I transformed from Jasmine into Rapunzel.
Hairdreams: What influence has hair had on your personal well-being?
Jasmin: Beautiful hair is often the first thing other people notice about a person. Especially when the hair is full and shiny. Accordingly, I received compliments about my hair from lots of people almost every day, which of course made me very happy.
With Hairdreams to Miss International
Hairdreams: How did you get along with the styling of the Hairdreams hair, since it was styled multiple times – can you feel the quality of the hair?
Jasmin: During my stay in Japan for the Miss International beauty pageant, I had to style my hair every day and wash it at least every two days. Even after putting my hair through all sorts of hardships every day, you can’t tell! The quality of the hair is superb, which might be down to the fact that the hair extensions are made from European hair.
Hairdreams: How were the reactions to your hair from people around you and during the Miss Contest?
Jasmin: A lot of people didn’t even know that I had hair extensions until I told them! Everyone I’ve spoken to about my hair has been honestly amazed at how well the tape-extensions work and how invisible they are. My colleagues were also enthusiastic about the fact that I could straighten or curl my hair as often as I wanted without it suffering visible damage and that the structure (straight or curly) lasted all day. In fact, I also met girls who also had Hairdreams extensions at the beauty pageant: Miss Italy and Miss Poland.
Hairdreams: What were your three highlights from the competition?
Jasmin: Hair-wise it was definitely that I had a wide range of styles that I could choose with the extensions – like different braided hairstyles or even a bow made of my own hair! Apart from that, a big highlight is that I was able to make friends with so many strong women from all over the world. And last but not least, being able to experience Japanese culture up close and personal. I’d recommend everyone experience a Japanese tea ceremony or learn Ikebana (the Japanese art of arranging flowers).
